Prime Time Records

Kappone a.k.a. “DJ Kappone”, “The Russian” or “Mad Russian” is known as a Producer, Recording Artist, Composer, Arranger, Mixer, Studio Engineer, On-Air Personality, DJ, Re-Mixer and Talent Developer who comes from the streets of San Francisco, California.

Kappone formed the record label called Prime Time Records focusing on EDM, Club, Rap, R & B, and Pop music and produced artists such as Bass House with Tara Kemp, D’Love, Automatic, T Solo, The Company, Devonne, TKO$, Kaila Blood, Simmone, Kold N Motion, Vanessa Ross, Alibi, Perry D, Plan B, D Bros and Thynn Ice, just to name a few. Prime Time Records is credited with discovering artists such as Tara Kemp of Bass House and producing and releasing the Top Ten Billboard Hit “Hold You Tight” which went Gold RIAA. When not in studio, Kappone’s long-time friend Automatic, was instrumental at Prime Time in Artist Relations and located new talent for the label. Kappone and Prime Time Records are known by music industry legends such as Craig Kallman of Atlantic Records and Big Beat Records, Irving Azoff of Giant Records, WEA and Full Moon Records. Currently Prime Time Records continues to innovate the music industry with new artists in 2024 and 2025.

Kappone built the recording studio called “Undercover Recordings” a.k.a. Prime Time Studios which enabled Prime Time Records to continue to find and develop new talent. The record label and studio gained recognition working with artists like, AMW America’s Most Wanted (Triad Records), DJ Juanito (Funky Mix/Groove Nation Records), 2 Bigg MC (K-Tel Records), Chill E.B., DJ EFX (Sound EFX Records), Dos Two/4-Way (Nasty Mix Records), MC Hammer, Ant Banks, K4 Productions & Ill Mannered Posse (IMP) just to name a few.

Prime Time Records is currently working on tracks to be released in 2024 and 2025.
